This week we’re making a simple, hearty lasagna with all the classic flavors and following it with quick skillet pork chops (15-20 min) in a creamy dijon glaze. Sound fancy? It’s not! It’s easy with these recipes, created so you can serve your family great meals they’re guaranteed to always love!
This Week’s Secret To Success
- Seasonal eating shines with this week’s pork chop dinner! Bone-in pork chops, mashed sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts give all the right autumn vibes. Don’t like brussel sprouts? Substitute with skillet fried cabbage instead!
- Capitalize on shared ingredients with these meal ideas too. Buy a bag of sweet potatoes & save a few bucks instead of picking out an armful when making the sweet potato skins and the whipped sweet potatoes.
- Prep the bacon for the brussel sprouts (or the cabbage) and the green beans at the same time so you’ve saved a step when you’re ready to make one of the recipes.
- And both the brussel sprouts and the pork chop sauce uses a little white wine, so there’s no waste there. (Don’t want to use a splash wine for flavor? Substitute with an equal amount of chicken broth.)
- If you’re thinking about fluffy, whipped sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving, this week’s meal idea is a great chance to practice and get a feel for how you want to serve the dish!
Tasty & convenient recipes are only half of the dinner equation! So, don’t forget to make a plan for you table this week!
Having a few things you really love and at the ready is KEY to making any meal time special and to inviting others over stress free.
I’m sharing this table setting again because I’ve got my sites set on Thanksgiving, and I’m hoping you do too! The classic gold/camel linens with the light blue is so inviting mixed with rich browns. The gooseberry garland and stag plates? Well, simple, seasonal, stunning. (I’ve got an option for turkey plates too.)
