Make chicken once and have 2 great southern classics this week! Poppyseed Chicken Casserole and Southern (flat-style) Chicken & Dumplings are always welcome on the family dinner table! Plus, there are breakfast, dessert and snack recipes to round out the week!

This Week’s Secret To Success
- This week’s dinner ideas are southern comfort classics!
- Plus, they make smart use of your time in the kitchen and at the grocery store.
- They use the “shared ingredient” strategy to keep you from needing to buy lots of different ingredients at the grocery store, which gets you in and out of the store fast!
- This week also utilizes a little of the mix and match strategy. Trade the rolls for the sweet potato cornbread or vice versa. They’re both delicious with either meal!
- OR choose to make just one bread and serve it for both meals.
- Instead of making the dessert recipe this week, steal the fruit salad from the breakfast suggestions and have a little fruit as “dessert” after dinner to lighten things up.

EXTRA TIPS:
- Boil and shred the chicken for both meals at the same time. Now when it’s time to make chicken and dumplings, half the dish is already prepped saving you loads of cooking time! Just remember to save the chicken broth from your chicken so you can use it in the dumplings recipe.
- Either one of these meals is a great option for potlucks or taking to a friend or neighbor who needs your friendship this week!
- Not sure who to help? Look for someone who’s sick, had a baby, had a tough or busy week or even someone who has something to celebrate. Maybe you just want to say, “Hey! I’ve been thinking about you!”
