If you love iced tea with lemon, you are going to flip for this cold brew or iced coffee Lemonade Coffee Creamer! Bold, citrusy and ultimately refreshing, this homemade coffee creamer recipe makes a coffee drink that is unbelievably cool, delicious and bursting with bright lemon flavor.

Iced coffee lemonade is refreshing summer coffee drink sometimes called a Laura Palmer.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • It might seem weird, but lemon and coffee are crazy delicious together. Think of an Arnold Palmer– lemonade and strong iced tea in one refreshing drink. That’s what Coffee Lemonade is like.
  • Bold and refreshing is completely accurate. There is not one time that I don’t take that first sip and say, “wow!”
  • It’s got real deal lemon flavor. This coffee creamer has lemon juice, lemon zest and a little sugar secret that makes sure that we get the most lemon flavor possible out of these ingredients.
  • Lemonade Coffee Creamer is made with condensed milk. Full stop. What else is there left to say? Condensed milk. It’s luscious. It’s creamy. It tastes like ice cream.

What Is Coffee With Lemonade Called?

Lemon Coffee has quite a few names. My favorite is Laura Palmer (a wink at Arnold Palmer). A close second is Thunderbolt. And then there’s cafe mazagran- a sweetened lemon coffee native to Algeria, which is often credited as the original iced coffee!

But none of those are creamy- just black coffee and lemonade. And, for me, nothing beats a good coffee creamer. Add lemon sweet cream? Well, that qualifies as a love language, right there. So, let’s get to it.

How To Make Lemonade Coffee Creamer

Create Lemon Sugar. In small dish combine the zest of 1 lemon and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Rub the zest and the sugar together between your thumb and forefingers to release the oils in the lemon zest and create a lemon-y sugar mixture.

This step is our secret lemon flavor weapon! Releasing the essentials oils from the rind makes sure we get the most lemon flavor absolutely possible. So don’t skip this step!

Make Lemon Simple Syrup. In a small saucepan, stir together lemon juice and white sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Allow to come to a low boil, stirring occasionally. Add the lemon sugar, stirring to dissolve again. Allow to simmer for 7-10 minutes to create a strong lemon simple syrup. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla extract.

Whisk the creamer. Whisk the sweetened condensed milk together with the lemon simple syrup to create your lemonade coffee creamer.

Serve & Enjoy! Pour iced or cold brew coffee into a cup. Stir desired amount of creamer into your coffee and continue to stir until the creamer has melted completely into your coffee drink. Top with a dollop of whipped cream, mint leaves and a slice of lemon, if desired.

How to Store & Use Lemonade Coffee Creamer

This homemade coffee creamer can be stored in the refrigerator, if covered, for at least a week. This creamer does thicken and get quite stiff when chilled (it’s the condensed milk).

To make a great cup of coffee any time, just whisk, shake or blend the creamer into your cup of coffee until the condensed milk dissolves. If adding to iced coffee, I recommend whisking the creamer into your coffee before adding your ice. It’s just easier!

Lemonade Coffee Creamer with iced coffee or cold brew is ideal for making a shaken espresso drink. Use your cocktail shaker to shake up something special.

Buzz a little crushed ice in a blender with your cold brew, a splash of milk and Lemonade Creamer to make a blended Frappuccino type drink that is to die for!
