Monday Menu takes all the guess work out of dinner! With 2 easy family meals, a breakfast, dessert and snack recipe, you’ve got everything you need for a tasty week done for you. Make-ahead Buttermilk Roasted Chicken, scalloped potatoes, heirloom tomato pie and a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing start us off right this week!
This Menu’s Secret To Success
- Even though lots of families are headed back to school this week, we still can make the most of summer produce to create fresh, seasonal meals to celebrate & satisfy after those long first days!
- Shop those farmer’s markets and road side stands for fresh blackberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and potatoes for the best prices and most flavor!
- This week’s recipes also max out our “balance” strategy by offsetting recipes that require a little attention with quick & easy recipes that can be made ahead or whipped up on the spot. This makes family meals easier to get on the table when life is busy!
A successful meal isn’t just about tasty or convenient recipes. It starts in the kitchen with ingredients, measurements and cook times, but it ends around the table with those you love.
So, don’t forget to make a plan for you table this week!
Here are some of the things I keep on hand. I use many of them week after week. They make meal time special and inviting others over fun and easy.

- Cornhusk placemats
- Rattan sleeve glassware
- Mini Topiary centerpieces

- Navy & white tablecloth by Hen House Linens
