This Week’s Secret To Success
It’s not enough to think just about what tastes good together when planning a meal (that’s a given!). You and I also have to think about which recipes are going to balance our time and energy in the kitchen so that cooking actually works with our schedules and isn’t requiring time and energy we don’t have.
This week’s meal ideas were put together using a few planning strategies I can’t live without! Having these strategies in my back pocket when I’m thinking about what to make + when to make it helps me make smart recipe choices.
- Classic 3 Cheese Manicotti hits the spot when it come to cheesy, saucy comfort food. And it has that “sit down” feel that makes sure everyone gathers around the table. But it does take time. Make sure to balance it with a quick and simple side dish like Skillet Roasted Asparagus so you don’t wear yourself out.
- And since you’ve put in the time stuffing those manicotti shells, the rest of the week needs to be a breeze. That’s when easy cooking methods like crock pot cooking and foil packets become your best friends. Use them to whip up a meal of Boneless BBQ Chicken Thighs and Easy Mexican Street Corn.
- And don’t forget breakfast. An overnight breakfast casserole is for more than just the holidays. It’s a lifesaver during the week. Cook once and have a quick and delicious breakfast all week long!
How I’m Setting My Table This Week
A successful meal doesn’t end when you pull that main dish from the oven. It finishes with some quality time around the table. Some might even say that’s when the real fun begins!
Here are some of the things I’m using to set my table this week to make the most of our dinner time together and honor all that work I put into making a delicious meal. How are you setting your table?
