Make life a little sweeter by getting to the table with those you care about and serving some delicious meals! This week, we’re partnering up French Onion Soup with Stuffed Sweet Potatoes, then moving onto a Wild Rice & Sausage Casserole. Plus, breakfast, snack and dessert ideas!

In a recent survey by the American Health Association, 91% of parents reported that their families were significantly less stressed when they regularly ate meals together.
As a matter of fact, research at Oxford University found that the more often people eat with others the more likely they are to feel happy and satisfied with their lives.
And if you have littles, eating meals as a family 4 times a week has a significant impact on child development.
You know what that means, right? Right now is the perfect time to get serious about making the food, setting the table and sitting down together!
This Week’s Secret to Success
- This week is all about warm and cozy while still getting in a good variety of vegetables, nuts and fruits prepared in a way that everyone at the table will love. We’re talking sweet potatoes, spinach, cabbage, sweet onions, pecans, pepitas and all your favorites for fruit salad.
- Spinach, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and apples are also shared ingredients this week.
- The weather is also key! While it’s extra cold, snowy and there’s nowhere to go, make the most of this time and get to the table together!

Menu 2- Wild Rice & Sausage Pot Pie-Style Casserole
In this Wild Rice & Sausage Casserole recipe, wild rice, sausage, spinach, parsley and parmesan cheese topped with a golden, flaky puff pastry crust make a savory pot pie-style casserole that is deliciously hearty and satisfying comfort food. Served with simple roasted cabbage steaks and a classic fruit salad, this is what delicious winter meals are all about!
Dessert This Week!
Perfect for snow days and movie watching, Creole Moose Munch Popcorn is a classic treat made with popcorn, pecans, peanuts, butter toffee and chocolate caramel candies, covered with a golden caramel coating that has just a hint of a savory Louisiana kick!
And since this dessert is so snack-y, I’m not making any snacks this week. A double batch of Moose Munch is all we’ll need!
