Creamy Tomato Basil Soup with Cheesy Sausage & Egg Cheese Bread and a green salad followed by Taco Stuffed Sweet Potatoes, guacamole and cornbread muffins make for easy comfort meals that everyone is sure to love with plenty of opportunities for getting the family involved too!

A collage of cozy recipes for easy weeknight meals.

This Week’s Secret to Success

This week, we are leaning into the season with cozy meal ideas your family will love. And while both are heavy on comfort, neither meal is hard to make.

Best of all though, these easy dinner ideas have opportunities for everyone to get involved in the kitchen. And you know what that means… We’re sharing responsibilities, inspiring new interests and creating independence. Who knew a few good meals could do so much!

  • Get your kids involved in making the Sausage, Egg, Cheese Pull Bread (a.k.a. brunch cake). Recipes like this are a great way to introduce them to the joys of cooking!
  • Keep the fun going by putting together a taco bar for your stuffed sweet potatoes. Let everyone build their own potato just the way they like it.
  • When it comes to snack time, Apple Cider Cheese Fondue keeps eating hands on by letting everyone choose and experiment with their own dippers!
  • Finish off your eats with easy No Bake S’mores, a super easy cereal bar treat that kids will love to make.

Menu 1- Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Creamy Tomato Basil Soup is easy comfort served up in a bowl! With a base of carrots, onions, celery, chicken broth and butter simmered with bright tomato puree, fresh basil and cream, layer after layer of surprising rich, savory flavor make this simple classic a heart and soul favorite everyone craves. Serve it with a sausage, egg and cheese pull bread and a green salad for a hearty meal that will be everyone's favorite!

Menu 2- Taco Stuffed Sweet Potatoes

If you love tacos as much as I do, get ready to make your regular ol’ taco Tuesday sing with these wonderfully delicious, flavor packed Taco Stuffed Baked Sweet Potatoes.  A little sweet, a lot of savory and loaded with all the things you love about your favorite taco, these stuffed potatoes pack a true flavor punch.  Whip up some Fresh Guacamole as an extra topping or a side and serve it all with tender Cheddar Jalapeno Cornbread Muffins. Dinner doesn’t get any better!
