Restaurant-style fajitas with that signature sizzle are on the menu, along with a little homestyle comfort with classic Poppy Seed Chicken. And per the usual, I’m sharing a few tips and a bit of inside info so that it’s all easy, efficient and yummy.
This Week’s Secret To Success
Prep the bacon for the charro beans AND the green beans at the same time! Then kick it all off with Easy Tex Mex Chicken Fajitas and spend the rest of the week having delicious fresh guacamole and salsa as a snack! One prep… lots of uses!
Want to know how to keep your leftover guacamole from turning brown?
The acidity in the lime juice and tomatoes in this week’s guacamole recipe help with that quite a bit. BUT the ultimate trick is to cover your leftover guac with plastic wrap, using enough wrap that you can seal the plastic down the sides of the inside of the bowl and allow it to touch across the entire surface of the guacamole.
The goal is to keep air from touching the guacamole while you store it. Just like bananas or apples, avocados have enzymes that react with oxygen causing them to turn brown, or oxidize
If your guacamole does happen to turn a little brown on top, just give it a good stir and you’ll be ready to serve it again.
