Tips & Notes
- This recipe can also be made stove top. Whisk together all ingredients for the sauce in the bottom of a small soup pot or dutch oven. Add meatballs and stir to coat with sauce. Cover & cook over medium heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- These winning meatballs also make a great meal when served over rice, creamy mashed potatoes or on a bed of Romaine or dark greens as a main course salad. When serving as a salad, try adding goat cheese or crumbled feta!
- Make your own hot pepper peach preserves by adding hot pepper flakes to your favorite brand of peach preserves.
- Alcohol– The alcohol content does evaporate from the sauce as it simmers, leaving only a full, oakey, savory flavor. However, this recipe can be made without adding any whiskey.

Outstanding!
Hi, Jane! I am so glad you like these meatballs! They are definitely a party favorite around here.
what kind of chili sauce does this call for? there are so many out there
Hi, Kathy! It’s just a basic bottled chili sauce, like this Heinz sauce that I use, not a Thai sauce or any special flavors. Hope you enjoy this recipe!
I cant find the peach preserve. can I used hot pepper peach jam instead or is that too different
Hi, Megan! Should be perfect! I hope you love it!
can i use fresh peaches instead of preserves? do you think it would cook properly?
Hi, Teresa! I don’t think fresh peaches would render the same results for flavor or texture. Of course, I’m never against trying it out! If you do, let me know how it goes.
