Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole and Crock Pot Black Eyed Peas pair up with Shredded Chicken Sandwiches and Mexican Street Corn Pasta Salad to create delicious mix and match meals that save time in the kitchen and at the grocery store.
This Week’s Secret To Success
It’s one thing to get a single dinner on the table, but with a few smart strategies we can use recipes and meals that build off one another to get a couple dinners on the table with leftovers, plus a snack, breakfast and dessert every week!
And that makes our efforts in the kitchen (and at the grocery store) stretch quite a long way.
- This week, we’re making the most of large side dishes whose leftovers easily mix and match with this week’s main dish recipes to make our time in the kitchen more efficient.
- Make the crock pot black eyed peas with either main dish. Afterwards, serve the leftover peas with the salad and the second main dish idea for a completely new meal.
- It also works the other way around if you’d like to make the salad first. Serve leftover pasta salad + peas + second main dish recipe.
- 2 meals, less effort, plus no wasted leftovers!
- Additionally, the salsa can be used with the green chile chicken enchilada casserole and the breakfast burritos. Double win there, too!
- Both dinner main dishes rely on chicken, making your grocery shopping easier and cheaper by purchasing a larger quantity package.
- Lastly, we’re using the crock pot twice and making one overnight recipe this week, meaning that our kitchen is easier than ever!
