Fall, when the days grow longer and the light grows golden.  Everyone is always ready for the magic the cool temps of autumn brings.  And one of the best ways we celebrate that magic is with something deliciously pumpkin!  This easy-to-make Pumpkin Chocolate Delight with a Pretzel Crust certainly fits that bill and then some!  With a salty, buttery-rich pretzel crust, soft cream cheese layer, a white chocolate pumpkin fluff all topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips and more pretzels isn’t your ordinary 4-layer dessert.  It’s an “oh my! Grab yourself a fork and some alone time” kind of eat.  After all, it’s called delight for a reason!

A slice of pumpkin chocolate delight

I haven’t always been a pumpkin fan, but it’s certainly desserts like this that have the tendency to change a person’s mind and taste buds.  The white chocolate pumpkin fluff, dark chocolate chips and drizzle, not to mention that salty pretzel crust really make this dessert special.  Who can resist all that chocolate, plus the salty and sweet combo?

4 Layers of Pumpkin Chocolate Delight:

  • Pretzel Crust
  • Cream Cheese
  • White Chocolate Fluff
  • Whipped Topping and More YUM!

Pumpkin Chocolate Delight's pretzel crust

Let’s talk a bit about this pretzel crust.  A lot of times when we think of a pretzel crust, we think of a jello dessert.  But why should jello have all the fun?  The salty bite of pretzels are the perfect crunchy compliment to pumpkin and all the creamy layers of this dessert.  This simple crust takes only 10 minutes or so to bake up and is a great alternative to the nuts, cookies or graham crackers crusts anchoring most 4-layer treats.  And when you start smelling that  golden, nutty smell as it bakes, you’ll know exactly what I mean!

The pumpkin layer of pumpkin chocolate delight

And just look at that pumpkin!  Isn’t it dreamy?  Using a white chocolate pudding and whipped cream to make the perfect fall fluff is a genius plan, if I do say so myself.  The white chocolate adds a gorgeous, rich flavor to what would otherwise be an ordinary pumpkin layer!

And toppings…  You’ve heard me say it before, and I’ll stand by it to the end.  It’s always all about the toppings.  For this Pumpkin Chocolate Delight, whipped cream, semi-sweet mini chocolate chips and more pretzels are drenched in a dark chocolate drizzle.  Be still my heart.  Chocolate makes everything better!

There’s a lot to celebrate about fall, and this easy 4 layer dessert with a white chocolate fluff and salty pretzel crust is just what you need to make all of those occasions special!

      Hi, Lynne!

You sure can. Just leave off the making and adding the top layer until you are ready to serve. Hope this helps!

Hi, if I double this recipe what size pan/baking dish would I need? Would it still be 9×13 or do I need a bigger one with it being doubled? Thank you!

Hi, Sheena! This recipe fills a glass 9×13 to the top! For the best results doubling the recipe & keeping the layer proportions balanced, I would make 2- 9×13 pans. Hope this helps and you enjoy this recipe!

Yes, that definitely helps and makes more sense to make 2 pans if doubling. Thank you!!
