Do you have your cup of coffee? I do!
The first day of fall was Saturday, and we welcomed Autumn with lots of rain. These days have me thinking about soups, apples and a campfire or two. That’s one thing about fall- there’s no shortage of things to do or yummy food to share. From ball games to hayrides to steaming cups of cider, the break in the southern summer heat beckons people back out and about.
That’s why this season is a perfect time to reconnect with friends. Life is back in a routine, and things are settling into the regular. So make carve out some time and make that connection. It’s worth it.
Not sure how to get started? Well, that’s what this week’s Coffee Break is all about.
Monday Coffee Break: Inspiration, Encouragement, Recipes
Take a moment and spend some time with one of my personal favorites, Friends: It’s Something You Do, Not Something You Have for a fresh perspective on friendship. If you’re feeling burned out or struggling, I know what that’s like. Friendships aren’t always easy in our busy world, that’s for sure. But done the right way, the rewards just can’t be counted!
Here in the South, just because it’s fall doesn’t mean all the leaves have changed and we can throw on a sweater! Get a little inspiration from Our Southern Autumn: 3 Tips for Creating an Early Fall Table. It offers easy tips on how to use early fall blooms and leaves from your yard to create a luxe table that just says “sit a while” to your family and friends.
And last, but certainly not least, comfort food is exactly what this season is calling for. And you can’t get much more comforting than a plateful of Smoked Gouda Cheese Grits & BBQ Shrimp. The recipe is easier than you think, and the results are a gorgeous meal that your family and friends won’t forget!
That’s it for this week’s Monday Coffee Break. Thanks for stopping by and having a cup with me as we slowed down for just a minute and started our week off right!
