That’s right! It’s time for another subscriber giveaway! The 12 days of Christmas starts today, and I think this charming ASD gift basket is just the thing to kick the festivities off the right way! I have been calling this basket ‘Holiday Picnic,’ and I’m smitten with the idea of getting bundled up, loading up the sled, and heading out with the Engineer on a romantic picnic to exchange little special gifts. Throw in some hot chocolate and a fire, and there’s a possibility for a Hallmark movie there. Oh! How I love Christmas and all the things that make it special!
On December 17, we are going to draw a name from our subscriber’s list for the winner! If you haven’t officially subscribed yet, now’s the time! You can click on this link for detailed instructions of how to subscribe, or simply use the subscribe button to the right or at the bottom of this article. The winner will be announced on our Facebook page, here on the blog, and contacted by email so it’s important to sign up as an email user instead of with a Wordpress account.
But enough talk about rules. Let’s take a look at this basket.
Every good picnic needs a cozy blanket. For your holiday picnic, this blanket is just divine. Heavenly soft and plush, it is great for your picnic spread or for snuggling up under.
And what is a Christmas outing without a Christmas tree? This basket comes with its very own 2ft tree. The base is covered in burlap and tied with a red and black buffalo plaid ribbon. A perfect little tree for exchanging your special gifts. Of course, it would also be perfect on a side table or even as a centerpiece for your Christmas table if braving the elements isn’t your thing.
For a little picnic romance, I’ve added 2 mercury jar candle holders and 2 flameless LED candles (batteries included). A little candlelight can make any setting a just a tad more special.
Now I am thinking for this picnic, you and your special someone shouldn’t settle for just any ol’ fare. For this outing, I am thinking cake! This small cake stand is the perfect size to hold a cake for two. The red color is spot on for this romantic getaway, and the distressed finish goes perfectly with your rustic picnic setting.
And you can’t cut cake without a cake server! Tucked in the basket is a silver cake server. Good enough for any shower or dinner party, it is quite heavy and has a lovely beveled handle. Tied with a festive bow, nothing is too good for this special picnic.
A delicate china cup and saucer has been packed for your yuletide escape from which to sip your hot chocolate or coffee. (I’ve included some of Miss Annabelle’s Coffee just for you! This little package makes 8-10 cups of the most wonderful light and nutty Southern Pecan coffee you’ve ever tasted.) Your brawny guy can drink from the thermos, but this white and sliver cup and saucer is just what any Southern belle requires when on a picnic like the one you’ll soon be taking.
And last but not least, a little tin chalkboard to pen your Christmas sentiments and complete the picture for these stolen moments during this busy season. Made from cut tin, this painted chalkboard is sure to be one of your favorite little happies.
So, that’s it! If that doesn’t inspire you to make some time for the one who matters most this Christmas, I don’t know what will! I am looking forward to announcing a winner on December 17. And I hope it’s you.
